Tip Spotlight - Sales Strategy Plan Tips

 

 

 

 

Create your sales strategy plan on the fly with these easy tips!

 

 

Sales strategy plans are also called marketing plans.  You will be reading about how to form a sales strategy to sell your product, whom to sell it to, and what industries to enter.  You will also learn how much you need to sell in order to make you the most money.  

 

1)  Use Excel - you can use cells to make it easier to keep track of your data.  I want you to right down the sales dollar amount you need to make in order to make you the money you want to earn.  If you to make $5,000 a month enter that on the spread sheet at the top.  Now figure out how much in sales you have to have in order to make that $5,000 a month.  Lets use $60,000 in gross sales per month you have to sell in order to make $5,000 per month.  

 

2)  Make a list of industries that your product or service would benefit.  You will need at least three Industries that your product or service complement or industries you want to enter.  Leave some space since we are going to break down each industry.

 

3)  Once you have your industries, you will need to break down each industry into three types of businesses.  For example you can take construction and break it down to electricians, lumber supply companies, architects.  Enter those in under each industry.

 

4)  Next make a list of your products or services that would fit into these industries.  You want to focus on 5-6 products or services.  You should also enter in the price that you would sell this product or service.  

 

5)  Lets say the first product sells for $6,000.00, how many of these products would you have to sell in order to make that $5,000 at the end of the month.  Enter that in for each product or service you picked.  To make it simple we are going to use the number 10.

 

What we know so far is - the dollar amount you want to make at the end of the month, how much gross sales you have to have in order to make that dollar amount, the industries, businesses in the industries, products or services you are going to sell, and how much of each product or services you need to sell in order to to make that payday.  

 

6)  For the first product you will need to sell 2.5 each week in order to make that goal at the end of the month.  

 

This gives you a start on a strategy plan now that you have a strategy you will need to have a territory.
