Norton Antivirus 360 will do some basic functions for you like
defrag, and registry cleaner. It will also clean up the
cookies companies use to track you. If you can not afford
Norton Antivirus then you can always download this free
software. I run Norton and I also use Spybot, and
Adaware.
Defrag your computer at least once a month especially if you are
installing or uninstalling software regularly.
You can also run Scan Disk. This will fix errors on your
hard drive.
Always uninstall the program via the uninstall option or through
the remove software option in Windows. This will keep your
computer free of errors.
Find a good registry cleaner. Your registry keeps track of
all the programs on your computer. Sometimes programs do not
uninstall from the registry and you will get errors on boot up.
A good registry cleaner will remove broken links from your registry
and keep your system performing at its top speed. Check www.download.com
