Create
a data CD or data DVD with these fast free tips.
CD's
hold up to 800 MB of storage and DVD's up to 4GB of storage and can
be practically read anywhere.
1)
First you have to have a CD writer or DVD writer installed in your
system.
2)
Windows XP and Windows Vista have a built program for writing to
CD's and DVD's.
3)
Once you have confirmed that you have a drive that writes to CD or
DVD you can easily add data to a blank CD or DVD disc.
4)
Put the blank media in the drive that has the writing capability,
and open "My Computer".
5)
You will see that the drive you put the blank media in now registers
with an icon of a CD "blank media".
6)
Select the files you want to write to your CD or DVD blank disc and
drag and drop them to the drive.
7)
Once you are finished, you can "right click on the drive"
and write these files to CD or DVD.
8)
Put the CD or DVD in a different drive to test out to see if your
files were written correctly.
